Training
We offer on-site workshops for human resource and employee development
staff. Two of our most popular topics are:
Managers
as Change Leaders
Gain the skills
necessary to help your employees deal with the effects of significant
organizational change. Learn specific techniques to help employees move
forward with increased commitment and productivity.
Career
Counseling Skills for Internal Career Advisors
This four-part
workshop provides the in-depth background and tools needed for guiding
your employees through a career-planning process.
This training is designed for in-house career counselors who assist employees with career development, career advisors who provide service to clients in workforce centers and school/college counselors. This training is conducted only for groups.
"Career Development
Facilitator" a national certification, prepares appropriate professionals
to assist employees or clients with career development. The 120-contact
hour curriculum, taught in a group format at your facility, provides a
foundation in career development and/or complements formal training. Participants
become competent in career development models, helping skills, assessment,
labor market resources, employability skills, working with diverse populations,
ethical/legal issues, technology and more.
The CDF curriculum was developed by the Career Development Institute at
Oakland University. Credentials are issued by the Center for Credentialing
and Education of the National Board of Certified Career Counselors.
This certification is endorsed by the National Career Development Association, American Counseling Association, National Board of Certified Counselors, and the National Association of Workforce Development Personnel.
