September 6, 2011 - RIT's Institute for Ethics and Corporate Social Responsiblity Advisory Board
Deb Koen, President & CEO, of Career Development Services, has been appointed to RIT's Institute for Ethics and Corporate Social Responsiblity Advisory Board. The Institute promotes dialogue both in the classroom and in the business community about the importance of ethics in decision-making, and the relationship between business and society.

February 8, 2011 - Generations at Work...And Play Employer Seminar
Career Development Services recently hosted a free employer seminar. Local employers participated in this creative sample of Generations at Work...And Play, our innovative new program on leveraging a multi-generational workforce. The full program, held at The Strong's National Museum of Play is available for work teams or through open enrollment.

July 19, 2010 - Greening Your Career Skills
Career Development Services hosted a half-day educational workshop at Monroe Community College. The workshop was attended by 105 people and provided information on the ways individuals can develop their skills to prepare for a green career. Representatives from local businesses, higher education institutions and national "green" organizations participated as panelists and presenters.

May 13, 2010: Leadership in Action Program
Deb Koen, President & CEO of Career Development Services, presented a Leadership in Action program to the International Visitor Leadership Program hosted by the U.S. Department of State. The visitors from India reviewed leadership models and participated in skill-building activities and created development plans during the program held on May 13.

April 14, 2010: Special Gift Reception
Career Development Services held their annual career scholarship fundraiser at The Little Theatre Cafe in Rochester, NY.
The guests heard first-hand from scholarship recipients what the scholarship program meant to their organization and their personal leadership development.

October 2, 2009. Career Development Services hosts International Visitor Leadership Program
Career Development Services facilitated the synthesis of the visit of the International Visitor Leadership Program hosted by the U.S. Department of State. On Friday, October 2, students and future leaders from South Africa visited Career Development Services. Deb Koen, President & CEO presented a program related to countering gender violence.
April 14, 2009. Career Development Services launches new website
Responding to a greater nationwide demand for talent management and career building resources, Career Development Services (CDS) launched a new website this April. The new site provides a comprehensive listing of career and talent management services offered by CDS, client testimonials, a listing of recommended career resources, as well as a treasure trove of timely and relevant Career Q & A articles authored by Deb Koen, President and CEO.

March 24, 2009. Career Development Services' Annual "State of the Career" Address
Deb Koen of Career Development Services presented her annual "State of the Career" address at a career-scholarship fundraising event held at the iconic Little Theatre in Rochester, NY on March, 24, 2009.
Donors and prospective donors gathered to listen to Deb as she focused on two themes, “Chutes Happen” and “Abundance in Scarcity.”
The goal of the event was to raise funds for the Career Scholarship Fund, which fulfills Career Development Services' mission of providing career development opportunities for everyone and to maximize potential regardless of ability to pay for services.
